Della J. (Gibson) Brower

Della J. Brower, 74, of Montezuma, passed away on Monday January 5, 2026, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute.

Della was born in Medford, Oregon on July 21, 1951, to Ralph Gibson and Adoris Self Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Scott Gibson, and Ralph Gibson; sister, Robin Hedges; grandson Michael Schmitt; nieces, Heather Gibson Walton, and Lacey Gibson.

Della was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma. She loved crafting and sewing and she was a member of the Old Glory Quilters. Della also enjoyed being a part of the Farmers Market.

Those left behind to remember Della are her children, Patty Brower, Paul Brower (Dawn), Toni Thomas (Chris), Joe Jackson (Jessica), and Adria Ingram (Zeb); sisters, Sherry Russell (Jerry), and Cindy Gibson; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Thursday January 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Helt’s Prairie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Old Glory Quilters in memory of Della.
