Carolyn L. (Lohrman) Bishop, 79, of Clinton, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
She was born on December 24, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Flossie Taylor and Forrest “Frosty” Lohrman. Both precede Carolyn in death.
Carolyn was a graduate of Clinton High School class of 1965. Throughout her life she was employed at Columbia House, First Financial Bank in Terre Haute and various other jobs. She retired from Crane Credit Union in Terre Haute. She also spent many years as a homemaker while raising her son.
Those left behind to remember Carolyn is her son, Christopher S. Bishop of Clinton, grandson, Christian H. Bishop of Clinton, her former husband, Thomas Bishop of Clinton, and her best friend Jane Kelp.
Also left to remember her are Bobbi Zirkel, Jane Lewis, David Lewis, Sherri, Gene, Rita, Janet, and many cousins on both sides of the family. She will also be remembered by many friends she had never met, as she never met a single stranger.
Carolyn enjoyed doing crafts, collecting antiques, and visiting flea markets. More than anything else, she loved sharing the love of Jesus Christ with her family, friends, and anyone else who needed His comfort, wisdom, and love. Her joy knew no bounds, and she was never happier than when she was sharing The Word. She wrote and published a Christian book entitled “It Is Written.”
Honoring Carolyn’s wishes cremation was chosen. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Frist Funeral Home.
